Inspired by the confluence of metallic element and straightedge hard core perpetrated by the likes of Hatebreed and Earth Crisis, Cincinnati, OH's Choke Quicker was formed in the ignitor of 2001 by singer Chris Alsip, guitar musician Chris Towning, bassist Banter Secrest, and drummer Joey Ray. Three years later, the band released their debut album, Only Time Volition Tell, and right away set come out on circuit with Full Blown Chaos, Atreyu, and Haemorrhage Through, among others; the soph set, Don't Kill the Messenger, was released in 2006 by 1981 Records.
